Catbengal Kittens at Bengalscape

Catbengal Kittens at BengalscapeOur goal at Bengalscape is to produce and raise kittens that are healthy, socially well-rounded and beautiful. I spend hours lying on the floor playing with them . . . they are handled daily from birth on. The kittens who I feel are show quality will be given extra time to prepare them for the judges handling.

Catbengal Kittens at BengalscapeBetween three and four weeks of age they begin to climb out of their box, so they are moved to the Kitten Corral which is loaded with toys and large enough for me (and momma) to sit in and play with them.

During the time that they reside in their playpen, I make sure that they are weaning properly and learning to use the litter box. After they have mastered that, they are allowed more free run with supervision, in other words, they are "under foot", literally!

Normal daily chores like vacuuming, changing birthing box towels and cleaning litter boxes are carried out in the same area as the babies, which allows them to overcome any fear of loud noises, this includes computers, TV's and radios. At around 6 weeks they are introduced to my naughty puppies, who help continue their socialization and also help them get over their fear of new things. They will be ready for their new homes by 12 weeks of age.

My partner (who has been doing this for at least 8 years) and I have been working on an appropriate high quality diet. What we have found is that a varied well-balanced, diet is what works best. This diet includes a wide assortment of raw meats like rabbit, chicken, turkey, beef (buffalo), quail, game hen and venison (when available), as well as some cooked meats (chicken and turkey). Supplements are added to that meat on occasion. We also feed a high quality dry (Innova) and canned food, with the occasional treat of Fancy Feast and Friskies. We feed a varied assortment of food so that when the kittens go to their new homes they do not run into feeding issues because of the change of environment and food. Most of our cats here will eagerly eat anything offered to them.

Our Available Kittens

They're out of their fuzzies stage now and looking quite beautiful.

PW (PeeWee) and his 3 playmates were born to Milwood Rajan and Gogees Batya, 3/9/08.

Here's the leader of the pack, PW himself. He is probably one of the smallest Bengal kittens we've had, but he's packed with personality and a zest for life that is unmistakable! We are totally enamored with this little guy,so he is unavailable at this time.

This is Frances Buxton. He has wonderfully horizontal flowing rosetting, with the sweetest of faces. He is having a bad case of the fuzzies, but when that's over, he will be a gorgeous boy. He LOVES to eat, which is visible in his FAT tummy.

This is Otis. He has the worst case of the fuzzies going on, but you can now start to see how pretty he is going to be. Otis is exceptionally sweet and loving, with a pretty face and small ears. Once his fuzzies go away, he'll be quite the handsome guy.
